Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes all aspects of the customer’s payroll utilizing Payroll Relief Software
  • Review customer time sheets and complete payroll process that meet customer timelines
  • Verify and calculate hours worked, bonuses, and deductions such as taxes, benefits and garnishments.
  • Maintain customer payroll records
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve errors
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Provide support and instruction to maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Keep current with new and changes federal and state tax laws
  • Provide backup for other areas within the department

 

Required Education

Position requires an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. Payroll and/or bookkeeping experience preferred.  The successful candidate must take and pass Farm Credit East's Payroll Specialist Accreditation program.

 

Salary range: $45,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience.

 

We offer hybrid work options after six months of employment with Farm Credit East. Hybrid work options are determined based on job role and balancing the needs of the customers, the team, and individual work performance. This will be reviewed based on manager discretion.
