The Loan Operations Associate is responsible for working as a member of a cross-functional team focused on providing loans and financial services of high quality and value to customers within FCA and Association policies and regulations. The employee is responsible for providing credit support to other team members, meeting the needs of the customers, growing the business of the Association and promoting a positive corporate image at all times.

 

Efficient functioning and monitoring of the branch’s internal operations combined with the promotion of good customer and public relations is important for the advancement of both the employee and the Association. The employee understands all phases of the delivery process and takes responsibility for meeting the needs of both external and internal customers.

 

Responsibilities/Duties

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounting: Ensure the timely and accurate accounting of all loan and general ledger transactions, including various types of advances and payments, establishing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, reconciling accounts and processing payouts.
  • Account Processing: Provide credit support to customers and other team members. This includes verbal and written communications with the customers and attorneys, title companies, insurance companies, etc. to prepare and/or arrange for preparation of loan documents, legal documents and security documents.
  • Member Relations/Networking: Contribute increasingly to an Association image of excellence by way of prompt delivery of high-quality service, current knowledge of agriculture/aquaculture. The application of skillful human relation techniques and negotiating skills in dealing with members is required.
  • Teamwork: Assist the Commercial Lending Unit and Association in meeting its goals and objectives through effective teamwork and cooperation. Promote open and constructive communications within CLU and branch locations and the attitude of “What can I do to help you”.

 

Required Education

Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
