The incumbent holding this position will be an active contributor of the Internal Audit team whose mission is to enhance and protect the organization by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. The role is primarily responsible for helping to carry out the Internal Audit plan through the execution of engagements which will cover a diverse range of risk areas including financial and management reporting, operational internal controls, risk management and governance processes, and other areas deemed appropriate by the Association’s Audit Committee and management team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Internal Audit
- Assist in the execution of internal audit engagements to ensure completion in a timely, accurate, and effective manner.
- Perform critical self-review of work paper documentation to support work performed and conclusions reached
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of technical accounting, auditing, and financial reporting standards and actively seek out opportunities to learn and enhance in these areas
- Become familiar with and apply internal audit processes, procedures, and methodologies to work performed
- Elevates potential issues timely after gathering key facts and leverage team members and appropriate technical resources to assist in proposing a resolution
- Efficiently and effectively communicate questions and findings with the appropriate level of internal audit management
- Demonstrates professional skepticism, independence, and objectivity
- Assist in the execution of procedures that address risks of fraud and remain alert to fraud risks while performing audit work
- Maintain applicable designations

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Audit experience preferred
- CISA, CPA, CIA, CFE, CFA, CISSP, CBA, CFSA or CRMA certifications are desired but not required
- We offer hybrid work options after two weeks of employment with Farm Credit East. Hybrid work options are determined based on job role and balancing the needs of the customers, the team, and individual work performance. This will be reviewed based on manager discretion.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience
