The Executive Assistant role would support the Executive Leader team who are responsible for leading key functional areas across the association with a focus on board and travel arrangements. The Executive Assistant ensures effective functioning and positive image of the CEO, Executive Leadership team, and Board through performing a wide variety of high-level administrative tasks such as meeting planning, scheduling, managing communication in their absence, obtaining/preparing necessary background information, document preparation and making travel arrangements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

CEO/Executive & Board Support

  • Provide direct administrative support to CEO/Executive team and board as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact and provider of services for the Board of Directors.
  • Seek out ways to create value for these positions in helping them be organized, prepared, knowledgeable within a diverse and fast-paced business.
  • Contribute to efficiency, professionalism and positive image of CEO/Executive Team and Board of Directors. 

Meeting logistics & Travel

  • Effectively facilitate and coordinate meeting planning, scheduling, and agendas
  • Book and plan travel arrangements both flights, hotel, transportation, and meeting preparation for various events
  • Solicit bids for certain outside services and events

Communications Support

  • Board communication support
  • Board book support
  • Provide high level technology and communication support to the Board of Directors

  • Engaged in training and full adoption of FCE’s technology platforms to meet association and customer needs. Demonstrates a strong commitment to standardized methods, collaboration, and embodiment of One Firm. One Philosophy. Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in administration, business, or related field.
  • This position is primarily conducted out of a physical Farm Credit East office location in order to effectively serve local customers. Farm Credit East requires new employees to work at their assigned office location for the first 2 weeks of their employment. After 2 weeks of acceptable performance, the employee is eligible for a hybrid working structure of 4 days in-office and 1 day working from home each week. 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000 commensurate with experience
  • Short-Term Incentive to reward business results
  • Retirement Contributions :
    • 401k match up to 6% of salary; or for those unable to take full advantage of the 401(k) match, verified student loan payments may qualify for an employer match in your 401(k) up to 6% of salary
    • Defined Contribution retirement plan funded at 2-9% of salary depending on years of service
  • Time Off:
    • 15-25 days of vacation leave per year, depending on years of service
    • 12 days of holiday leave per year
    • 7.5 days of sick leave in your first year, followed by 12 days of sick leave per year thereafter; unlimited rollover of unused sick leave year to year
