As a Credit Analyst, you work in concert with Farm Credit East branch offices and Commercial Lending Unit staff in analyzing, making, and servicing of loans to Farm Credit East's largest customers. Potential customers include processing and marketing, farm-related business, similar entities, rural utilities, and cooperatives. The position will also play an integral role in the Farm Credit East's purchased participation program by authoring credit reports, as well as researching and compiling various industry analyses. In addition, the position is accountable for the day-to-day administrative support of the Commercial Lending Unit Relationship Managers. In this position you will promote excellent customer service and maintain a positive public image in the ag and local communities.

 

Sound and secure credit analysis and underwriting combined with the promotion of good customer and public relations is important for the advancement of both the employee and Farm Credit East. The Credit Analyst is expected to understand all phases of the delivery process and take responsibility for meeting the needs of both external and internal customers. This position reports to the Commercial Lending Unit Operations Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties

The employee is accountable for the following:

 

  • Credit Analysis & Underwriting: Working with team members effectively serve branches and Relationship Managers across the Association providing sound and timely credit analysis within the time expectations of the customer and team members. Effectively apply policies and procedures to meet underwriting requirements.  Employ approved differential analysis tools and technology as appropriate. Deliver accurate and timely loan underwriting using provided lending software. Promote regional resource sharing and optimization.
  • Change Adoption:  Engaged in training and full adoption of FCE’s technology platforms to meet association and customer needs. Demonstrates a strong commitment to standardized methods, collaboration, and embodiment of One Firm. One Philosophy. Invested in personal and team success through the transition process, holding each other accountable to the association’s strategy.

 

Required Education

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field. Knowledge of agriculture, finance, and credit administration is preferred.

 

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of agriculture, finances, credit and credit administration. Strong marketing and interpersonal skills are required, as are verbal and written communications and analytical skills. Must be team oriented.
