As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for providing various support functions to our financial accounting services at Farm Credit East. The services you will be managing include, but are not limited to: preparation and management of customer accounting records, preparation of customer financial statements, setup and maintenance of depreciation schedules, 1099 preparation, income tax return support, and generation of management and compliance reports.

 

A basic understanding of accounting principles is key, as are excellent communication and customer service skills. You will work closely with our tax and accounting staff, consultants, and other business units to develop a strong understanding of Farm Credit East's products and services in order to provide valuable solutions to your customer's financial and business needs.  Ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset along with a willingness to cultivate relationships with both new and existing clients.

Responsibilities/Duties

The employee is accountable for the following:

  • Direct Provision of Financial Services: Provide high value financial services to customers for a profitable fee. Accurately prepare financial accounting records for customers including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, adjusting journal entries, and additional financial reports as needed. Accurate preparation of 1099’s in addition to processing payroll quarterlies. Maintain proper documentation and communication with customer-members and staff in order to respond to internal and external customer needs.

 

  • Member Relations/Teamwork: Provide outstanding customer service (both internal and external) and deliver exceptional customer experience and value by setting, communicating and meeting customer expectations. Demonstrate a strong community commitment and professional presence that contributes to the overall positive image of Farm Credit East. Act in a forthright and ethical manner, display a positive attitude and contribute positively to the overall morale of the team and association. Assist other team members and contribute to training.

 

 

Required Education

Position requires, at minimum, an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field with some accounting credits. A general knowledge of agriculture is desirable, but not required.
